Dr. Dalbir Bharti, Chairman

Dr. Dalbir Bharti is a former IPS officer. He took voluntary retirement as IGP and worked in Corporate Sector for two and half years as Legal Consultant and Group President. Presently, he is Delhi NCR based Advocate & Legal Consultant. He is M.A. (Political Science), LL.B. (University Topper) and Ph.D (Mumbai). He has authored five books on the Constitution, Police, Law and Social subjects. He has been been awarded Pt. Govind Vallabh Pant Puraskar by the Govt. of India in 2010-11 for one of his books. He is founder President of Bharti Education and Development Society (Regd) Delhi which runs Libraries and Study Centres and helps poor and needy students through its various activities.

Prof. Suresh Kumar, Hony. Executive Director

Prof. Suresh Kumar is Head, Department of African Studies, University of Delhi. He is the Chief Editor of Africaindia.org and traveled widely in East Asia, Europe, South America and Africa (Nearly 30 Countries) for research and teaching assignments. He also deliberated his opinion on Africa before the United Nations Organisation, New York in October 2012 and then in World Policy Council in 2014. He is active as member in the Africa Committee of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and an executive member of Indo-Africa Chamber of Commerce in India (IACCI). About 135 articles have been published in different books, journals and newspapers. He has actively contributed his opinions on India and Africa in the different international media channels of BBC, Aljazeera (English), ABC (USA), Yomiuri Shinbun (Japan) and All India Radio.

Dr. Vibha Gupta, Member, Executive Committee

Dr. Vibha Guptais Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce, Lakshmi Bai College, University of Delhi. She successfully accomplished MST in International Accounting and Finance from University of Birmingham, UK. She traveled in Africa and Europe for research and other assignments. She has contributed number of articles and online chapters for undergraduate program.

Dr. Prabhat Ranjan, Member, Executive Committee

Dr.Prabhat Ranjan is a Fiction writer, translator and editor, Prabhat Ranjan is writer of ‘Kothagoi’, first book in Hindi on the history of tawaif tradition. Has published two collections of short stories ‘Janaki Pul’ and ‘Bolero Class’. and has translated 18 books including Anne Frank’s Diary, Mohsin Hamd’s novel Moth Smoke, Khushwant Singh’s book ‘Khushwantnama’. Awarded the Sahara Samay Katha Samman, Premch and Samman. ABP news best blogger award for the year 2014 for his blog ‘jankipul’. Krishna Baldev Vaid fellowship for his writing, 2013. Recently received first ‘Dwarika Prasad Agrawal Bhaskar Yuva Puraskar’ of rupees one lakh for the book ‘Kothagoi’ during Jaipur literature festival.

Saurabh Kumar, Member, Executive Committee

Shri Saurabh Kumar is an Engineer (Computer Science) by profession. After completing his schooling from the Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai, he went on to pursue his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA. After having worked in many startups, he is currently running his own technology company based out of Delhi.

Shri Sanjay Kumardid his BA (Hons), MA (Political Science) and M.Phil from Delhi University. He has been teaching as Assistant Professor of Political Science at Zakir Husain evening college of Delhi University for more than ten years. He has written many articles and books and his areas of interest are the Constitution, Party System , Political Economy, Dr Ambedkar and Environmental issues. He is actively involved in the movements for welfare of teachers and has held elected posts of Joint Secretary of Delhi University Teacher Association (DUTA) 2007-09, Vice President, DUTA 2009-11. He has also been member Academic Council of Delhi University for 2010-12 and 2013-15.
